We revisit the propagation of classical scalar fields in a spacetime which is asymptotically anti-de Sitter. The lack global hyperbolicity underlying background gives rise to an ambiguity dynamical evolution solutions wave equation, requiring prescription extra boundary conditions at conformal infinity be fixed. show that only tha are compatible with hypothesis system isolated, as defined by (improved) energy-momentum tensor, Dirichlet and Neumann types.
